GMU Journals Gain MES List Points
We are proud to announce that two scientific journals published by the University have seen an increase in points awarded in connection with the Ministry for Education and Science's scientific journal and peer-reviewed materials list, as follows:
ISSN 2083-6473 -TransNav, the Journal of Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation - increased its total of awarded points from 20 to 70; and
ISSN 2657-5841 - Scientific Journal of Gdynia Maritime University moved from 0 to 40 points.
On 1st December 2021, on the basis of Article 267, paragraph 3 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Law of 2021 items 478, 619, 1630 and 2141) of 20 July 2018 of the Ministry for Education and Science announced the scientific journals and peer-reviewed international conference materials list (link is external).
TransNav, the International Journal on Marine Navigation and Safety of Sea Transportation, is a scientific journal published quarterly in English since 2007. The chief editor of the periodical is Professor Master Mariner Adam Weintrit, the co-creator and chair of the biannual "Transnav" international science conference.
The publication was also co-created by GMU Associate Professor Tomasz Neumann, DSc(Eng), thanks to who the publication can be found on international scientific journal indexes (including Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection - Emerging Sources Citation Index, EBSCO-host, Directory of Open Access Journals).
The Scientific Journal of Gdynia Maritime University (SJ GMU) is an interdisciplinary periodical published since 1975, which contains original empirical and theoretical research results. SJ GMU can be classified as an exact, natural, and technical science journal.
The publication is issued every quarter in electronic and print versions. Each edition focuses on a different scientific topic, including civil and transport engineering, automation, electronics and electrotechnics, mechanical engineering, management and quality science.
The Scientific Journal of Gdynia Maritime University includes original scientific research works published for the first time. The journal is peer-reviewed using a "double-blind review process", whereby author and reviewer remain anonymous to one another.
