Faculty of Navigation Scientists in 2nd Round of Best Innovation Competition
Scientists from the GMU Faculty of Navigation - Dr and Master Mariner Gregorz Rutkowski and Master Mariner Paweł Kołakowski have qualified for the second round of the 15th International Technology Transfer Conference. The conference and competition are organised by the Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Slovenia.
The second stage of the competition will take place during the conference on 12th October, where Pawel Kołakowski will present the pair's solution entitled "Innovative equipment of the intervention/service watercraft: Mobile Electromagnetic Mooring System and Batychron" before the assessment committee, members of which are investors and experts in the commercialisation of technology.
The solution is the result of pre-implementation project UMG-03, entitled "Equipment for a Mobile Diving Sea Rescue Service Base (MoB MEDS) led by Dr Rutkowski as part of the 'Innovation Incubator 4.0' programme financed under the non-competition project 'Support for the management of scientific research and commercialisation of R&D results in scientific entities and enterprises', implemented under the Smart Operational Development Programme 2014-2020. The Innovation Incubator project is coordinated at GMU by the Intellectual Property and Research Commercialisation Team.
