GMU Wins Smart Growth Award 2022
Gdynia Maritime University is pleased to announce it has received the Smart Development Award for the fourth time. In what is the 7th edition of the competition, the University has been recognised in the “innovative digitalisation and data sharing” category.
The award was given to the University for its project entitled “Making available scientific and historical collections on the heritage of Polish Maritime Education”, and will be presented to Deputy Rector for Science Dr Dariusz Barbucha during an awards ceremony for the 7th edition of the Smart Growth Forum on 7th June 2022 in Uniejów. This year’s Smart Growth Forum will be held on 6-8th June in Uniejów under the slogan “Foster Discovery – Promote Progress!”.
The Polish Smart Growth Award recognises the approach of a given person or organisation towards the development and popularisation of their activities, including beyond their own industry, scientific field or region in which the nominee operates, in order to increase the development of prospects of their undertakings. Since 2016, the winners of the award have been individuals and organisations that implement innovative projects or developmental investments, or conduct innovative activities resulting in the introduction of technological or social innovations that bring about smart growth.
