SSE Renewables has become a partner of the Executive Offshore Wind MBA
The Offshore Wind Energy Centre at Gdynia Maritime University has entered into partnership with SSE Renewables for the organization of the Executive Offshore Wind MBA programme.
SSE Renewables, in cooperation with ACCIONA Energía, is applying for a location permit to build an offshore wind farm in area 60.E.4 in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. The decision follows the companies' collaboration announced last year to explore the potential for offshore wind energy development in the Polish market, aiming to reach up to 5.9 GW of offshore installed capacity by 2030. For SSE Renewables and ACCIONA Energía the collaboration with the Offshore Wind Energy Centre at Gdynia Maritime University is part of a broader strategy by both companies to involve local partners in the OWF’s development process.
The overreaching goal of the Executive Offshore Wind MBA is to support the development of offshore wind energy in Poland by educating professional managers and effective leaders for the energy sector. The EOW MBA is the first of its kind in Poland and one of the world’s first Executive MBA courses dedicated to offshore wind. The programme is designed for candidates with experience in offshore industry companies and the offshore energy sector, as well as those with background in other industries who intend to pursue their professional careers in the offshore wind sector.
