On 2nd October 2023, Rector Professor Adam Weintrit took part in the "Offshore - Concessions in Polish Maritime Areas" conference organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The event focused on offshore wind energy and provided a summary following the end of the period for the granting of offshore wind permits, as well as discussing the challenges, the current shape and future prospects for the offshore wind industry. 

Three thematic debates were also held during the conference. HM The Rector featured as a guest speaker in a debate on  "The Offshore Industry - The Driving Force for the Technological Development of Poland" The discussion was also attended by authorities from the Universities in  Gdansk and Szczecin.
