Primary School Pupils Visit Hall of Tradition
On 17th January 2023, the Hall of Tradition welcomed pupils from primary school no 8 in Gdynia Orłowo for an open day.
The children took great interest in the exhibits, examining many items using a magnifying glass. They also listened to a mini lecture on the maritime traditions given by Joanna Stasiak. Michał Kołodziejczak, from the Office for Promotion and Communications, demonstrated a boatswain's trap whistle and showed participants how to tie some common nautical knots.The children learned what maintenance is by looking at the exhibits stored in the Hall of Tradition and comparing them before and after maintenance.
During the visit, the youngsters asked a lot of questions and each participant was granted a certificate for taking part. As they themselves assured, they will definitely visit again in the future.
