GMU Takes Part in SimED Simulator Instructor Camp in Gothenburg
On 13 to 15 March 2024, GMU’s Dr Piotr Kopacz of the Faculty of Navigation took part in a SimED Instructor Camp at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. The training was organised under the patronage of the International Association of Maritime Universities.
The initiative aimed at developing and perfecting instructional navigation exercises on professional navigation and manoeuvring simulators, as well as the exchange of experiences and strengthening of cooperation within the IAMU inter-collegial network, especially concerning the development of a world database for simulator exercises. Taking part in the Camp were 21 instructors from 10 countries. The training was led by Fredrik Olindersson of Chalmers University of Technology and Yusuke Mori from IAMU.
