Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University to Meet for Third Lecture
On 20 November 2024, GMU will hold another lecture as part of its Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University.
The topic of this week’s popular science lecture will be "Electromagnets at Sea - An Alternative to Traditional Mooring Systems". During the lecture, we will discuss electromagnets as a promising alternative to traditional mooring systems using ropes. The lecture will be given by Paweł Kołakowski, an academic lecturer, instructor, and examiner on specialist STCW/IMO courses.
Where: main auditorium at the Faculty of Navigation (al. Jana Pawła II 3, Gdynia)
When: 18:00 on Wednesday 20 November.
Entry is free of charge and open to all (the lecture will be given in Polish only)
The Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University initiative will include 20 lectures presented by experienced academic lecturers affiliated with GMU to be held on average twice a month (every second Wednesday at 18:00) at the University’s Faculty of Navigation. Lecture are open to the public and entry is to all lectures is free of charge.
