GMU Officials Meet with Representatives of State Fire Service Academy
On 19 September 2025, a meeting took place at the State Fire Service Academy between Academy representatives and officials from Gdynia Maritime University. GMU was represented by HM The Rector, Professor Adam Weintrit. Also representing GMU was Professor Captain Zbigniew Burciu, the Rector’s Plenipotentiary of Strategic Projects.
State Fire Service Academy was represented by Rector-Commandant of the Fire Academy, Brigadier General Tomasz Klimczak, who was accompanied by Senior Brigadier Paweł Fliszkiewicz, Deputy-Rector and Deputy Commandant for Operations; Professor Wioletta Rogula-Kozłowska, Deputy-Rector for Science; and Senior Brigadier Tomasz Zwęgliński, Deputy-Rector for Education and Students.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the further strengthening of cooperation between the two education centres, undertaking joint research projects, as well as the development of a training ground. The representatives of both sides expressed their conviction that the undertaken initiatives will contribute to the development of scientific potential at their institutions, including improvements in the standards of education of future personnel.
