Scholarly Evenings at GMU - 29 January 2025

On 29 November 2024, GMU will hold another lecture as part of its Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University.

The topic of this week’s popular science lecture will be "The Engineer of the Future – Technical Knowledge and Social Competencies". The speaker will address the topics of social and professional competencies, in an attempt to answer the question of whether an engineer is just a specialist firmly grounded in technical knowledge, or also someone who requires ‘soft’ social skills. This week’s speaker is Katarzyna Szelągowska-Rudzka, a member of the research and teaching staff in the Department of Management and Economics at the Faculty and Management and Quality Science.

Following the lecture, participants are invited for refreshments where there will be the chance to discuss the topic with the speaker.

Where: main auditorium at the Faculty of Navigation (al. Jana Pawła II 3, Gdynia)

When: 18:00 on Wednesday 29 November.

Entry is free of charge and open to all (the lecture will be given in Polish only)

The Scholarly Evenings with Gdynia Maritime University initiative will include 20 lectures presented by experienced academic lecturers affiliated with GMU to be held on average twice a month  (every second Wednesday at 18:00) at the University’s Faculty of Navigation.
