Your professional and personal qualifications
The ideal candidate is studying for a business degree in finance/economics/logistics/transportation/trade, preferably with focus on the maritime industry.

You have a thorough understanding of numbers, you are data-oriented and you have an commercial mindset. You focus on details and you know how to structure your work in order to meet your deadlines and not least you are able to stay calm when there are multiple tasks to prioritise. You thrive on working independently and you make an effort to deliver quality in your work.

You are a fast learner and have a proactive and systematic approach to problemsolving.

As we are an international shipping company, English is our working language, which means that your spoken and written English must be fluent (certification proving C1/C2 level is an advantage).

You must be familiar with IT tools such as the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel-VBA, Outlook, TEAMS). We will train you in the specific shipping related systems.

Furthermore, flexibility is key in order to be a successful student assistant in our organisation.

Your new job
As our new business assistant you will be providing administrative and analytical support to the team.

Key assignments will be:

  • Filing & scanning
  • Maintenance of internal databases
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and assignments
  • Communication with various stakeholders internally as well as externally
  • Ad hoc tasks


When you are ready for it, you will be introduced to the commercial aspects of our activities (chartering) where you can assist in negotiation of cargo and/or vessels. You could also be involved in collaboration with the captains on board our vessels as well as owners of chartered vessels.

The working hours are approximately 10-15 hours a week (on average) with the possibility of extra hours during your semester breaks. Working days/hours can be mutually adjusted to your school schedule. The salary will be 35 ZL per hour.

The position will report to our General Manager at the office in Poland.

Start date is as soon as possible.
