From 1st October 2019 under the Regulation on the Reclassification of Fields and Disciplinesand in accordance with the statement of the Central Committee for Degrees and Titles of 30th April 2019 (Regulation of the Minister for Science and Higher Education of 20th September 2018 on Scientific Fields and Disciplines and Artistic Disciplines), Gdynia Maritime University has the power to award doctoral degrees in the following disciplines:

TECHNICAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES:

Automation, Electronics and Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering and Transport
Mechanical Engineering

SOCIAL SCIENCES:

Management and Quality sciences

Under the University’s Articles of Association, the power to award academic degrees was transferred to the Gdynia Maritime University Senate.
